The first lipsticks I was eager to swatch and try were their new Lasting finish matte and spring collection. These come in red and black tubes respectively.
The first I swatched were the Lasting Finish Spring Collection Lippies. These are in black tubes.
From left to right- 022, 019, 016, 026
022 is a fantastic vibrant red, perfect for those of you who are brave and bold. 019 is a mauve type colour, 016 a coral-y pinky colour and 026 a nude with pink undertones. These retail for $11.68 (Big W) in Australia and are rather creamy and only need one swipe for adequate opacity.
From top to bottom: 113, 103, 106, 111, 107, 112
113 is a light pink colour. 103 is a brighter pink colour. 106 is an even more brighter pink. 111 is a vibrant red (love this colour!). 107 is a deeper berry red and 112 is a browny red. these also only needed one swipe for full opacity and were also very creamy however not as matte as I would expect!
Next I swatched some of the original Lasting Finish Lipsticks.
From left to right: 010, 009, 012, 007, 014
010 is a bright red similar to 111 above. 009 is a berry red. 012 is a bright coral colour (love this one!). 007 is a pinky nude perfect for medium skin tones. 014 is more of a browny nude and is lighter than 007.
I then swatched the original Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks. These are very creamy and come in a purplish tube different from the three previous line's packaging I just swatched.
From top to bottom: Berry Queen 400, Funtime Fuchsia 320, Vintage Pink 180, Fancy 210
Berry Queen is a true berry colour. Funtime Fuchsia is a true pink colour. Vintage pink is a browny colour (did not show up well on camera) and fancy is a frosty light pink (not so keen on this one!).
Finally I swatched the Lasting Finish Intense wear lipsticks. From top to bottom- Asia 077, Heather Shimmer 220, Alarm 170, Birthday Suit 250.
Asia is a pinky browny colour. Heather Shimmer is a more brown than pink colour with a slight hint of shimmer. Alarm is a bright red colour. Birthday suit is a brown coffee colour also with a slight hint of shimmer.
All up these lipsticks are good value for money and are incredibly creamy and pigmented. Well done Rimmel! (and Kate moss!).
*Note there are some colours I failed to swatch either for absence of testers or I just wasnt particularly interested or I owned the colour already! Apologies for this!
Cheers
Sibyl
